Well this week was our first week of Pilates in Butcombe village hall. It was really great to have such good support from people in Butcombe and Nempnett Thrubwell - thank you for coming along! I am running two evening classes in the village which are beginners classes - the exercises are very gentle and everyone goes at their own pace. I also leave a little time for some guided visualisation at the end to add to the mind/body elements of Pilates. If you are interested in coming along to a Monday 5pm class or a Wednesday 7pm class please contact me - emma@emmacharltonhypnotherapy.co.uk
![]() The pelvic floor is a sling of broad but thin muscles. The muscles extend from the walls of the pelvis from the pubic bone at the front to the coccyx at the back, forming a floor across the lower pelvis. It supports the organs of the pelvis and the abdominal contents, resists sudden rises in intra-abdominal pressure - sneezing etc. and constricts the openings of the pelvic floor which is important for maintaining continence. Butcombe Pilates Classes are starting on Monday 24th November at 5pm and Wednesday 26th November at 7pm - we have a few places left - please contact me - emma@emmacharltonhypnotherapy.co.uk
Looking forward to running a Pilates taster session on Monday 17th November - for Pilates beginners at 7pm.
